Stacey Freedman's tireless efforts to encourage netball at the Cathedral School were recognised on Wednesday 15th July when she received an award from the Chelmsford School Sports Partnership. Stacey, whose children Gaby and Dominic both attended the school, was presented the honour in morning assembly by Partnership Development Manager Martin Eyles. She has been involved with the school team for eight years and this season successfully led the High 5 squad to first District and then County championship titles. In his speech, Martin also praised Stacey's dedication to coaching with netball clubs outside of the Cathedral School. Stacey admitted she was almost moved to tears when she realised this year's team were about to become county champions but also paid tribute to all the pupils she has ever coached at the school
