Virtual Sports Day 2020

Final Virtual Sports Day totals based on each child's average:

1st Christy (Blue) 110.7;
2nd Hoffmann (Green) 110.2;
3rd Marconi (Red) 108.7;
4th Crompton (Yellow) 108.0.
175 pupils took part.

Sports Day happened with a difference this year as 175 children took part in five activities at home and at school in a bid to win points for their teams.

Each child’s distance, time and scores in the pentathlon (100m shuttle run, standing long jump, vertical jump, speed bounce and throwing) were put into the super computer and converted into points. These points were then divided to give an average score per pupil per team – and the final totals couldn’t have been much closer.

Christy were winners with an average of 100.7 followed by Hoffmann (110.2), Marconi (108.7) and defending champions Crompton (108.0) . Captains Daisy and Henry received the trophy for Christy at the Year 6 leavers assembly.

At school, the highest scorers in Eloise and James (EYFS), Astrid and James (Year 1) and Bella and Jake (Year 6), while the highest scoring Key Worker children were Melissa and Harrison in KS1 and Elsie and Teddy in KS2.

At home, the highest scores were by Daisy, Oscar and Harrison (Christy), Jacob, Max and Jack (Crompton), Leia and Hugo (Hoffmann) and Sophie, Annabel and Eva (Marconi).

Well done to everybody who took part.
