The Cathedral Tag Rugby team bounced back from two early defeats to record to wins in the annual district tournament at Bedford Fields. The team started with a 5-2 defeat to eventual champions Danbury Park and had little time to recover before losing 5-1 to last year’s finalists Beehive Lane. However, the squad rallied and avenged last year’s defeat in the third-place play-off by beating Chancellor Park 2-1. The best performance came in the fourth match when everyone remembered the defence tactics taught by Mrs Cuthill and beat Baddow Hall 4-2. Despite a 5-1 defeat to OLI in the last match, all the squad can be proud of their efforts. There were tries for George, David, captain Chay, Charlie, Theo and Abigail and great tagging by Robert, Sandie, Alex and Isabel. Thank you to all the parents who came to support us.
