Literacy

 

Can I write recognisable letters, most of which are correctly formed?

 

Write a sentence or two about something you did over the weekend that you enjoyed.

Think about the porridge the bears were eating.

Make some porridge and then write some simple instructions about how you did it.

 

 

Phonics

Can I read words consistent with my phonic knowledge by sound-blending?

 

Phase 3 phonemes ch and sh.

Write a list of words using these phonemes.

Pick a word and write a sentence using the word, think about sounding out and spelling words correctly.

 

 

Maths

Can I verbally count beyond 20, recognising the pattern of the counting system?

I have a deep understanding of number to 10, including the composition of each number.

Expressive arts and design

Can I make use of props and materials when role playing characters in narratives and stories?

 

  1. Draw the face of a bear. Make it really big. Remember to add eyes, ears and a big smile. Colour it in using the appropriate colours.
  2. If you were to make a story, which character would you choose to visit the bear’s house? Make a toilet tube model of your character.

     

     

    Understanding the World.

    I know some similarities and differences between things in the past and now.

    Can I explore the natural world around me?

    Can I order and explain what happens at a Baptism?

     

    Recap everything you have learnt about Baptisms so far.

    Are there any pictures of your own Christening you could look at?

     

     

    Physical development (PE and handwriting)

     

    Can I negotiate space and obstacles safely, with consideration for myself and others?

    Can I move energetically, such as running, jumping, dancing, hopping, skipping and climbing?

     

    Practice moving in different ways, think about how the characters in the story might move.
