Include a description of the character and what they hoped to receive but what they got instead.

Use the sentence openers and the picture prompt to write interesting sentences.

Remember to write in the past tense!

Design an alternative for carrying the letters.

What else could Katie have carried the letters in?

Can you design and label an alternative?

 

Activity 5

Science investigation

How long were the letters underwater for?

Write your address on some pieces of paper.

Leave them in water for different amounts of time.

This could be a pop song, a nursery rhyme or a hymn.

How are other people feeling? Pick 3-5 friends or family to speak to.

Ask them how they are feeling.
