Can I write a poem?

Look at The Sound Collector and consider the rhythm of the poem.

Can you write your own poem considering rhythm?

Can I edit a poem.

Read your poem through.

Consider whether there are any changes you can make.

Count the syllables in each line. Is there a pattern?

Do any lines need to be longer or shorter?

 

Can I present a poem.

Write your poem up neatly, thinking about presentation, starting each line on a new line and decoration.

Can I write creatively?

Imagine a world with no sound.

Write a list of all the things that would be difficult or that you would miss if you couldn’t hear.

Can I write creatively?

Write a creative piece about a character who loses their hearing all of a sudden.
