Can I plan a flashback sequence?

Using the extract from the book on Tapestry, make a list of the information we now know about Ellie’s mother. You are going to plan a flashback linked to one of the objects found in Ellie’s workshop. You need to think about the sentimental value of your chosen object and the memories it might hold.

 

Can I write a flashback sequence?

Follow your plan from yesterday to write a flashback sequence to include a positive memory for Ellie related to your chosen object, information about the relationship between Ellie and her mother, and how the object an memories link to Ellie’s life now.

This is going to go across two lessons.

 

Can I write a non-chronological report?

You need to think back to the non-chronological report you wrote on rivers. Can you apply that knowledge and text type to create a non-chronological report about how mountains are formed? You can use your notes from topic lessons and/or complete additional research to support your report.

Place value grids and counters are helpful in ensuring understanding of the value of each digit.

Use place value counters and a place value grid to support them with exchanging.

 

Can I add numbers with different amounts of decimal places?

Children should be encouraged to think about whether their answers are sensible.

For example, when adding 1.3 to 1.32 and getting an answer 1.35.

Continue to focus on the importance of lining up the decimal point in order to ensure correct place value.

Read the quotations on each of the posts and think about how the quotation makes you feel.

Record your thoughts and questions in red.

Can I edit a story-based adventure?

Continue using 2Create in Adventure Story mode.

They complete working from their adventure-game design and test and debug each other’s stories to ensure they are fit for use.

 

 

Geogaphy

Can I research a river?

Over the next three lessons you are going to put together a documentary for your chosen river.

You need to gather research and photos for your documentary.

You can use your previous research that you used for your non-chronological reports.

Can I draft a documentary?

Use the storyboard template provided on Tapestry and draft your documentary.

You also need to write a script for your documentary.

Can I record a documentary?

Use Adobe Spark (if needed, log in details will be provided) and put together your documentary.

Make sure that you evaluate and edit your documentary as you go.

 

PHSE

Can I judge whether physical contact is acceptable or unacceptable?

Consider these key questions:

What types of physical contact is acceptable / unacceptable in different situations?

How does this depend on the person and who they are with, where they are, what the touch is?

How can people communicate about touch?

Can I construct a piece of text in French?

You need to recall all of the vocabulary that we have learnt over the course of the last two terms

you can use the Kahoot quizzes from last week if you would like to.

Over the next three weeks, you are going to be making an ‘All About Me’ book in French.

You need to include: your name, age, where you live; a physical and character description of yourself;

details of the family members that you live with; and details of any pets that you have.

Choose a section that you are going to focus on this week ready to continue next week.

Please do NOT finish your booklet all this week.
